Barcellos Family Restaurant

Great food. Went there on November 26th. Had a male waiter. Took a month of Sundays before our water came,another month of Sundays before he came back to take our order,when it came,he never asked if we needed anything else. (And we did) He just ran away. Never came back to see if everything was okay. I noticed his coworker cleaning his tables after HIS customers left! What the heck was this kid doing? We gave him the benefit of the doubt that it was probably his first day.

While vacationing away, we found this Portuguese restaurant. They had this amazing fish platter with the lightest breading that was crisp and not overcooked. I would highly recommend this restaurant. This was the best seafood I’ve had in a long time. They were very generous with their portions of food.

I remember coming to this place and it was old and it really needed a rehab bad. So I've been hearing about this place a lot lately. So my girlfriend and I decided to come here to have dinner on a Friday night. I couldn't believe what I was seeing! The whole building had a makeover done. Looks really nice and differently a family atmosphere. The food was good and the staff was very friendly. The price is reasonable. But the portions were small. I had a steak plate with fries, and my girlfriend had the prime rib plate, and we had chicken wings for an appetizer

My 1st time here! Absolutely delicious. I wish I had taken more pics. We started w calamari, then 2 Portuguese steaks paired w a carafe of red wine. The steaks were perfectly medium, the egg & sauce delicious. Just when I thought we were done the owner surprised us w homemade pistachio ice cream amazing w so many full pistachio nuts. We even enjoyed a great live band

This was an interesting place as it is difficult to pinpoint exactly what it is. The dining area isn't large but is set up where half of it is a bar (but much brighter and cleaner than an actual bar) and there is a row of sit down tables next to it and then a function room in the back. None of the servers seem to have a smile but they are efficient and checked on us regularly and gave us what we needed so our server did a good job. The clam chowder was bland and did not have a lot of clams and tasted like cooked flour. Didn't finish it. The littleneck clams were great but I couldn't taste the clams much - good seasoning in the broth though. The steak tips were well done, not medium, and completely tasteless. The gravy that came with it was tasteless. The fried seafood plate had excellent flavor but at $29, I expected a bit more quantity. Probably the best whole belly clam I had eaten - really creamy and fried to perfection. It was great to check it out one time but I probably will not return.

FIRST TIME AT THIS restaurant/bar . Went for lunch. Walked in smelled an looked very clean . They have a bar , an separate dining area , They also a private room for functions. I had fish n chips ,small white fish feilts cooked perfectly, their was no cole slaw not sure if was soppose to have it or not .. my buddy had sirloin sandwiches with house potatoes. Portuguese soup (no picture). All food was great .. I didn't eat again until 7 at night an was done on time to get back to work ..

This is the first time I've been back this year. The service is excellent. The bartender is super good. I'm happy with all the changes that have been made. The food is more delicious.
